I can readily see the growth in solar offsetting the growth in


energy consumption...i.e. solar will not replace fossil fuels, but it may prevent the need for building more power plants. IMHO, I could potentially see solar providing 100% of the power a typical 3BR home uses. But it has almost no shot in our lifetime of providing enough energy for industry or cities.
