Yep. Same is true for hydro (which nobody ever seems to mention)


We have a hydro plant on the James that has been (historically) most productive in the middle of the night -- precisely when there isn't much demand for that energy in our local part of the grid. Some kind of realistic/non toxic battery application could help to make that profitable.

But then we would still be chopping up fish and other critters in the turbines, which is another fun issue to deal with.
