I don't see it plummeting
No matter what happens with the climate, people are going to continue to want to vacation at the beach. That means there will always be a need for beach property that can be rented.
Now, I could see the demand dropping for properties that sit vacant except when the owner decides to fly in for the weekend. But there will still be plenty of demand for properties owned by real estate investors that are for rent.
Heck, an NFL stadium is considered obsolete and in need of replacement after 20 years. Maybe beachfront property will just have to be bulldozed every couple of decades after being hit by a major storm and rebuilt too. That is still a manageable risk for large-scale real estate investors.
