Seems a little harsh to say UT and OU are the ONLY reason...

Why the Big XII is a Power 5 conference.

I suppose one could argue that USC (for football) and UCLA (for basketball) are the only reasons why the PAC is a power 5. Or FSU, UNC and Duke are the only reasons the ACC is power 5.

To me, Kansas, Oklahoma State and WVU are very solid P5 programs that would be of good standing in any other P5 conference. Even KSU, ISU and Texas Tech have had some very good P5 moments in football and basketball. Sure, UT and OU carry the load for the Big XII, but they are as legitimate of a P5 conference as the ACC and PAC with their typical heavyweights.
