My thought about this is that if the SEC is doing this with Texas in the Big XII, they will have a dramatically easier time doing it with Texas in the PAC 12.

We in the ACC are much more used to sharing states with the SEC and staking claim to those states as ACC states (Florida, Georgia, South Carolina). ACC schools are drawing top talent from those states.

The Big XII isn't having as much luck with this in Texas. The PAC 12? Forget about it. If Texas goes there, it will bring Texas down much more than bring the PAC 12 up.
