I have a daughter who is a swimmer and practice is the most important


factor in determining success. The more time they spend in the water, the better they get relative to their peers. Common sense, really.

I realize the author of that article claims it's the type of practice that's important, I.e., work smarter not harder, but in a sport that's heavy on cardio there's no substitute for putting in the hours.
