United was a total sh*t show under his predecessor. They couldn't get their seniority lists integrated after the merger with Continental and were getting nowhere in their contract negotiations with the different employee groups. Oscar fixed those problems when he came on board even while undergoing heart transplant surgery shortly after being named CEO. He's an admirable man.
