I worked at Lakeside during my college summers

Started as a weight guesser and rose through the ranks to supervise all the carnival games in the park.

As a supervisor, I had unique access to all of the Saturday (and Sunday) musical acts that came through the park. Got to meet Ray Charles (blech) and touch Loretta Lynn's hair. Helped in the propping up of Hank Williams Jr. Saw some incredible (Ronnie Milsap) and horrific country acts (Conway Twitty and the Twitty Birds...painful). Spell-bound by Bill Monroe. Surprised by "Boss Hogg".
