Re: There were rumblings about FCS post season a recently as last year.

The Ivy League has done it right. It is the P5 programs who have gone way beyond the pale when it comes to football competition.
How many P5 football players would qualify for admittance to their current schools, had we not made special provisions to accommodate them as athletes? How many fail to graduate? How many leave school early? Was this the original intent of intercollegiate athletics? The schools are not proud of this, but publicly, they spin it as "giving opportunities to athletes who may have no other path to an education."
How many coaches and administrators bend the rules, cut corners and apply corrupt practices to protect football players? The Ivy League will likely never bear the kind of tragedy that was visited upon Waco and Chapel Hill.
Yale AD, Beckett, says the Ivy league AD's all want a way to reward football champions. The championship, itself, isn't enough? That, alone, the championship, should be worth more than any post-season circus. Play your ten games, do your best, then hit the books. That is a great model... except for the money.
Don't get me wrong; I love college football. But if we're being honest, we could get just as much enjoyment, maybe more, if everyone stayed within the constraints that the Ivy's put upon themselves... except for the money.
