I don't disagree with that logic. However, why doesn't the Ivy

League apply that same logic to all of its other sports. Why should Princeton men's basketball and Penn women's basketball be allowed to compete in their respective NCAA basketball tournaments? However, Princeton football couldn't compete in the FCS Playoff in football. As you said "isn't the championship enough?" The same could be said about the following teams:

Yale men's lacrosse - 2016 NCAA Tournament
Harvard men's ice hockey - 2017 NCAA Tournament
Dartmouth men's soccer - 2017 NCAA Tournament
Harvard women's soccer - 2017 NCAA Tournament
Princeton baseball - 2016 NCAA Tournament
Princeton softball - 2016 NCAA Tournament
Harvard & Princeton field hockey - 2016 NCAA Tournament
Harvard men's water polo - 2016 NCAA Tournament
There are even 19 wrestlers from Ivy League schools competing in this year's NCAA Tournament.

The Ivy League has never given a sound argument as to why football should be the only sport excluded from postseason competition. It can't be due to admission standards because the Ivy League doesn't offer athletic scholarships.
