I read a story years ago that there was a family who owned a Ford, I think.

After dinner, when they went to the ice cream store and they all got different flavors, the car started for their drive home. When they all got vanilla, the car wouldn't start. They wrote the company who sent an observer and sure enough, it was true. They figured when they all got different flavors, it took more thought and it took more time. When they all got vanilla, the car was still vapor locked.
