Bates is the 2nd Tech recruiting target who has committed to UGA. #76 prospect Maya Caldwell also had Tech in her top 3 before committing to UGA. Georgia's 2017 recruiting class now has 4 top 100 players. It's too bad that a talented local player like Bates chose to play out-of-state. All we can do is wish her the best at UGA.

It will be interesting to see how many players Kenny Brooks and staff sign next month. All of their top 2017 targets have signed elsewhere. Maybe they'll find and sign few more quality players in the spring? Maybe they hold off and save a scholarship or 2 for the 2018 class? It would be nice to sign a few post players for the 2017 recruiting class. They can always go the JUCO route or go overseas.

I think a full year at Tech will help our staff's recruiting. They may have come in late with some of the recruits since they started in early-mid spring. I'm sure other schools have been recruiting the same players for years.
