I wonder if they have thought about going big, as in superconference.


I suggested this a while back, and I don't think this is what they're doing, but maybe they could go BIG.

One of the things about Texas and Oklahoma (and the other long-time members) is that they like playing their current conference schedule and don't want to play other teams from far off. On the other hand, you have WVU, who is in desperate want of east coast teams for travel.

So I figured, why not at least consider this:

-Invite BYU.
-Take WVU and pair them with BYU to make their own division.
-These two teams would have a great deal on influence on the selection of the other seven members of the division. For example, WVU would take 4 schools east of the Mississippi. BYU would pick 3 teams west of the Mississippi.

Or, you could see if ISU would be willing to join the new division. Then they'd only need to add 5 rather than 7. And it would be 16 teams rather than 18.
