I'm not sure if you are the outlier or I am but I probably watch 15

channels, max. My problem is three of them are ESPN, three of them are local (for local news), and MASN 1 and 2 for my Washington Nationals for which there is no alternative.

Having said that, I pay $134 per month for FIOS cable, 25/25 Internet and landline phone so I am OK for now.

I tried Sling on a free trial and was not satisfied with the picture quality like I am with Netflix.
