UGA and Florida are both their state's #1 brand.


That would make the ACC #1 in 2 fast growing states. Why add another private school like Vanderbilt with a poor football fan base? Why add Alabama's #2 school when you can get UF or UGA in states with more TV viewers and larger populations? IMHO, the ACC would be worse without having both Tech and UVA. The ACC has a P-5 monopoly in Virginia. Having one in Florida and Georgia would be very positive thing for the ACC.

I seriously doubt UGA and Florida would leave the SEC today with their TV deal. I also think fan reaction would be extremely negative if either of those schools decided to move to the ACC.
