None are as secure as EMV


And I don't think any fuel retailer uses them yet, and may not for a long while.

I don't think any are any more "secure" than the others as far as the larger chain fuel centers go.

Just protect yourself by looking for skimming devices attached to the reader. Otherwise, anytime you swipe there's always a chance (if extremely small) even without skimmers.
