I have been bouncing around the internet doing some reading on the above subject. It looks to me that the ACC & B12 are neither getting a conference network in the style of the B1G & SEC. ESPN has recently lost about 3 million cable subscribers. ESPN owner Disney ordered them to cut costs wherever possible. ESPN responded by letting go of a handful of their most well known and correspondingly highest paid TV announcers. Most people writing sports columns interpret all that to mean no more investments by ESPN into conference networks. As most of you probably well know. These football conference networks or otherwise are no sure make a good profit deals. The LHN and the rather poorly received P12 are examples. There are getting ready to be huge disparities money wise between the conference network haves & have nots. I know the GOR's will hold things stable for a while, but that ever widening money disparity will eventually tear both the ACC & B12 apart from what we now know. Many ACC AD's must be displeased behind closed doors with Swofford. I heard he promised them all that network when they signed the GOR. I have no dog in this fight. I am a Razorback fan however I have relatives that live in NOVA that are Hokie fans. So I hope the Hokies always have a good conference home.
