A few points.

1. I don't know who would say that MU wouldn't leave the SEC for the B1G. I think they see themselves as a B1G school and would die to get in.

2. The material question with regard to KU and OU is what to do about OkSt and K-state. I don't think state politics will allow for KU and OU to bolt the Big XII and leave their mates behind. And I know it is convenient to say, "oh, the SEC will pick up OkSt and KSU." But I think that is unlikely and at least not a certainty.

3. I don't necessarily see this as good news for the ACC. If the B12 is going to break up, the ACC should be competing for OU and UT. They need the football pedigree. And while 4 major conferences sounds like a nice round number for a tournament, I have my doubts that the P4 will simply go to 4-champs-only championship. And even if they do, and there is a disparity in the per-school pay out to conference members, the ACC might still be picked apart.

That being said, it is interesting news.
