Not really; you can fly a 757 into Clarksburg/Bridgeport

Equipment is generally shipped to road games by truck without regard to how the team travels. That's why most major programs have fancy tractor trailers.

Many programs traveling to Morgantown fly to Pittsburgh because there are more hotel accommodations north of WVU and staying in Pennsylvania helps keep the visiting team away from traveling WVU fans. Teams often stay in Washington, PA.

But visiting teams can fly to WVU via the North Central West Virginia Airport (formerly Benedum Airport) near Clarksburg and Bridgeport, and more frequently leave from that airfield. That airport was substantially improved a number of years ago when the government built the nearby FBI fingerprint facility. There is a reason the airport runway was extended to take larger aircraft and it is probably the same reason that the longest runway in West Virginia is located at the Greenbrier Valley Airport.
