I think TCU's future could be in the SEC
Texas A&M's base gravitates more towards the Houston market. Texas is never going to join the SEC, so if the SEC wants another piece of Texas, the logical choice is TCU. TCU is in a better market and makes better geographic sense than Baylor, Texas Tech or any other Texas school.
If you pair TCU with one of the Oklahoma schools or even a stray eastern school like WVU or a program that for whatever reason wants out of the ACC, it makes a lot of sense.
I think the Pac 12's publicized aversion to schools with a religious affiliation is probably just a BYU thing. If the Pac 12 gets a pod of schools from the Big 12, at least one and probably two will be from Texas and if the Horns go independent, or join the Big Ten or ACC, TCU is the best candidate left.
