JMU may get some bad PR from blocking her transfer

but I am not sure how long JMU would have to endure the bad PR. If the story doesn't have legs, then it will just be a blip on the radar and replaced/forgotten with the next sports story. Other schools in other sports have blocked a student-athlete from transferring to a certain school for a variety of reasons. The school may have received some flack at first, but once the next "big" story broke people (for the most part) moved onto it and forgot about what the school did to that student-athlete.

Given JMU's history as being founded as a women's college (my dad was in one of the first classes that allowed men to attend the school) and the pride they take in women's sports (especially women's basketball), I could see pride clouding their judgment. They make the decision out of spite to hurt Kenny (given his history with the school) by hurting his daughter. I would hope that JMU would handle the situation with maturity. However, I grew up on JMU (started going to athletic events when I was 6 months old) and over the years I saw JMU handle some situations that would make you think they didn't always handle things with the level of maturity you would expect from a university.
