Softball has started doing some very good things in that regards

Admittedly, they're not yet at the level of Kevin and wrestling team (who do a fantastic job in that area), but you have to start with baby steps.

Last year, Scott and his leadership team created the Dugout Club for Softball. Whitley Davis is doing a great job of getting that started and reaching out to supporters. They are also doing events in local communities as the team travels throughout the country.

I'm sure it's not where they ultimately want to be, but it's a move in the right direction.

As for this year, the start is certainly disappointing - absolutely no way to sugar coat that. A couple of those losses have been really painful and frustrating.

At the same time, it has been a brutal schedule with a lot of youngsters playing serious amount of time due to injuries.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out.

GO HOKIES!!!!
