So there are two different rule interpretations at play


one is the drop down rule. Heres a link summary:

(note the one hand on the ankle and one hand at hip/waist was really poorly enforced today, both teams did it and didnt get called)

The other is parallel riding. Parallel riding doesnt have a definition in the rulebook,but the 5 second drop down rule was created to try and avoid it.

For me zack was taking advantage of the rule, dropping down for 3 or 4 seconds and hopping back up, with no attempt to use the ankle. The national media had this debate with roskopf who uses the 5 count front headlock to set up NF.
