They already have stalling as a rule to push offense, I don't see why you need to have such a large reward for being dominant in a single match. Isn't the primary goal to beat the guy in front of you? Too much weight on the bonus.

The fact that a highly seeded wrestler can get upset early and pin his way through wrestlebacks on his way to a third place finish and score better than the runner up is ridiculous (a la AJ Schoop last year, who I think almost outscored the eventual champ). Granted that is a rare situation, the fact it can happen is absurd. And I bet it gets less rare when comparing total points for 8th place finishers to those of 4th or 5th place finishers.

I'd like to see +.5 for a major, +1 for a TF/fall. Maybe you need to separate TFs from falls. I don't necessarily think you need to - TFs are always a sign of being dominant. Falls can be fluky. Either way, that is more closely mirroring the bonus system is dual scoring where falls are worth 2x. Seems more logical to me.
