I think you have it completely right.

I read the article about the 3 star WR from Richmond that ended up at Wake. Under Beamer that kid gets a scholarship along with his 4 teammate and they both end up at Tech. But even ex Hokies like Loren Johnson no longer have any intention of sending their top kids to VT. So what exactly is the benefit to VT to take the in state 3 star with no offers over the higher rated 3 star from out of state.

If Pry dosen't win with those 3 stars, he'll never see any top VA talent, period. He'll get chastized for not accepting 6-6 talent just like Fuente did.

I also get tired of the nonstop chatter about relationships...it is all just overblown.
