Tyrell Ward is in the same category (caliber-wise) as Malcolm Delaney, Chris Clarke, Dorenzo Hudson, AD Vassallo, etc.

Being ranked in the 30s is a bit higher than Id have him, as hes not even the best player on that DeMatha team. But being 6'7 makes recruiting services drool pver who he CAN be, and not necessarily who he is.

For instance, if Rodney Rice were 6'7 he'd be a top 10 player in the country.

Id honestly have him and Darren Buchanan neck and neck in terms of their fit and their talent within the system at VT. There are other places that could showcase Ward's strengths better.

But IF he chooses VT...
IF he buys into a role...
IF he picks things up quickly...

...he is certainly a huge asset to have.

But if he chooses VT and he (along with fans) think because hes rated 30th that he will take over games, he (and fans) will be sorely mistaken and (wrongly) see him as a bust
