He could only recruit the kid since last July. The 2023 clsss is the first class whose entire recruiting process has been during NIL.
He was originally supposed to commit in January. Moved the date. Then on April 1. Moved the date. April 14. Moved the date.
The staff at UGA was at UF during his first commitment switcharoo...UF wasnt even recruiting him and never offered.
So the same reservations he had about UVA in January are still relevant now.
Primary factors for committing somewhere dont just "emerge" late in the process. If he was into taking improper benefits then the list of schools as his finalists would be schools typically known for cheating. His final 5 was:
UVA
Clemson
UGA
UNC
Alabama
The only one you could say is questionable is Alabama...and if they were cheating here, theyd be the one landing him without question because the others dont typically cheat
But apparently the kid was "leaning UVa" and instead will wind up at UGa...neither of which are Alabama
