Well, if it's a separate organization

that doesn't receive federal education funding, then of course Title IX doesn't apply...I can't imagine a scenario where that happens though...where it's called or somehow affiliated with VT but not part of.

Not sure what you're talking about with BYU club soccer "going pro."

As for VT Bass Fishing, I don't think it's "MEN's bass fishing," (there's a woman listed on the site I found) so the opportunity is open to both genders...doesn't matter that it happens to be filled predominantly by men. Regardess, from a Title IX perspective I think it'd just be viewed as another student organization, the majority of which are open to all genders, so no Title IX issue. I don't think there's any reason to have a specific "club sport" ledger for Title IX. Men's Lacrosse or Volleyball can exist at that level without having a specific women's club sport to balance it. Student orgs overall are funded in accordance with the universities gender mix.
