mystified me but, as I recounted on the board a couple of days ago, Tim Walton and I are not the best friends. Mowatt was another example. Even before the "Mowatt rule" resulted in the drawing of the pitching lane the rule stated that pitchers were not allowed to step outside of what was an imaginary box. Despite that some coaches obviously ignored it, most notably Teresa Wilson whose pitchers were always out of the box but never got called.
