THAT is what they want and need. My mom, who never complained a day in her life got the same way. She hurt and let us know it. Same thing happened to my wife with her mom.

Thing is, you are there for her so you have NOTHING to feel guilty about. Nobody wants to hear about ailments. It wears you out. It also reminds you that she is that old and no telling how long you have left. You just listen (or pretend to listen) and you have done your part. I think having a little guilt is natural, but it is ill-placed.

Just have her while you do, and some day, you'll have the knowledge (like I do) that she KNEW you loved her and you did what you could.

Your dad knows it too. My dad (even though it was 5 weeks later) went suddenly as well. He knew I loved him even though we were guys and didn't say it. At least with my dad, we had over 20 years of going to Tech games because my wife isn't a football fan. That is something I will never forget. He never did either.

Point is...we do what we do. When they are gone, you can certainly miss them, but you'll have the knowledge that you did what you could and they knew it!..SO, you will not have to live with regrets. Not everybody is as lucky!
