So, your homework assignment for this weekend is to call your peoples. This is the only time of year I get on a box and preach. Years ago my dad took a bad fall down the stairs leading to a traumatic brain injury. He was never the same mentally. He existed but not really. Then 3 weeks after my dad's fall my mom died. So, I essentially lost both my parents over a few weeks.

My dad ended up passing 4 years ago today and then I almost lost both of my daughters later the same summer.
So, the harsh lesson is call your folks, kids, etc.
