UNC dominated with Roy because nobody could matchup with them on the boards running two 5 star big guys. Whenever they had top tier guards they won championships because of how strong they were on the inside.

Only a few teams can successfully recruit like that, UNC is voluntarily falling into line with everyone else who plays a perimeter oriented game.

They look really good right now primarily because Bacot is dominating inside, there is nobody in the pipeline for them that is that type of player so they'll be dependent on the portal like the rest of us.
