The problem is that once the automatic bids are issued...

the committee is supposed to be searching for the remaining most deserving teams to play in the tournament and their criteria for those teams is highly subjective with a much less than consistent or transparent set of guidelines and zero accountability for their decisions. This is frustrating for both coaches and fans of the respective universities in the mix for playing in "March Madness"
