He seemed to be saying it was because the committee doesn't like him


The "personal" part of his statement.....researching the background of the committee members, etc. WHO doesn't like him and why? He is an odd bird and doesn't necessarily leave friends in his former stops due to the way he leaves, such as his falling out with the AD at Marquette when he ended up at VT.
I agree with him that A&M is better than some in the field, but as others have posted, this does A&M no good in the future.
Who on the committee is a Big Ten insider and got Rutgers in in the first place? One might say that about ND but showed they are better than Rutgers on the court.
If the committee doesn't like Buzz, they HATED Seth Greenberg, the proverbial bubble boy. An automatic bid is the only assurance for a lot of schools like VT...and apparently A&M, schools without a basketball legacy that gives them an edge. (Rutgers doesn't have one, either!!)
