It's all in what you value

I've seen surveys that consistently say people are willing to make less to work from home. I can tell you that I hate the 23 mile death ride down 66 every day and wasting 35-45 minutes each way. I get more done at home, feel physically better in an environment that I can control (if I want to stretch on the floor, I can do that). There are things I can only do at the office, and when I need to do them, I come in. Otherwise I'm losing 1.5 hours of my day spending $8 in gas, feeling less comfortable, and being less productive. When I go in, I literally sit in my office with the door closed to avoid covid (company policy, not mine).

There are a lot of 100% WFH jobs now. My daughter has three more years of college. When she graduates, I will find a 100% WFH job for whatever pay and move to NW PA in my FIL's house there.
