Had an SK2 on my last ship who was 1st generation American.

Her parents emigrated to the US from Ukraine.

20 years ago she had an intense hate for Russia, and I can't imagine what that has turned into now. I'm sure her rage is boiling over now.

Wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the Ukranian people have similar views of Russia. If Putin takes the country and installs a puppet, doubt things will go well afterwards. There is just too much hate for the Russians there.

Had to edit my post. She was a SK (ship's storekeeper), not an AK (Aviation storekeeper). Doing a little research, I see those ratings have changed, merged into others...
