Do, does Russia think the Ukrainian people will just capitulate and


be peaceful citizens if Russia imposes their will and takes the country? Doesn't seem liek that would happen. I would expect putin would have to rule with police-state tactics to maintain order. This will not go over well. I can't recall anything like this happening in my lifetime... but I am not a big student of geopolitical history, so when was the last time a superpower just took another country against the will of the people and said, "This is now mine"? Was it the annexation of Crimea? I don't feel like this is the same as that, since a large percentage of Crimea actually wanted to be part of russia.
