IMO, strategy should be the same. Build the game strategy as you normally would, without taking the slumps into account.

However, a backup strategy should be in place should those slumps continue. Know when to make adjustments in-game if that is the case. Do not let those slumps define the entire game.

Rinse between games, repeat. Eventually the slump has to break, right?
