There was talk ...


of the Fed Govt providing 3 N95 masks for every American, though I believe that talk has no died down. The funny part is that basically gives you 3-6 days of safe protection ... at most. And roughly 50% of Americans aren't going to wear those things anyway - they are not the least bit comfortable.

But your point is a good one - either care about their safety or don't. Mandating masks (cloth or paper) is like requiring folks to wear seat belts made of toilet paper. Slightly better than nothing.
