I worked two 11 hour shifts last weekend with a N95 and topped with a
dark cloth mask (work required). It was pretty miserable, but I'm tough enough. I'm trying to keep from getting it to save myself, as well as vulnerable people that I may expose if I do get it. There are a lot of people that can't get vaccinated...people that the vaccines won't work for...kids...babies...
I know everyone is sick and tired of it. But it struck me as odd when you said "that was then, this is now". We have around 2100 people a day dying in this country, which is right around the same number as a year ago. You are annoyed, as is everyone. But I am mostly annoyed that everyone acts like it is all over. And it seems the reason is simply, "because I'm over it". If you look at the data, "then" really is the same as "now". And we will have a million deaths here, shortly. Please just try to bear down and do your best.
