I'd love to see more of Maddox but I think it is inevitable that he is this years Joe B and Jalen C. Wednesday night might seal it for him. In 15 minutes he scored 13 points and had 4 assists and 0 turnovers. He was in the zone. But at the end of the game he is watching Alleyne play who shoots 10% less from 3 and 20% less from the field. In the 4 previous games, Maddox got 9, 6, 11, and 5 minutes. He is an elite shooter - 48.5% on 3 pointersand over 52% overall!!!. Alleyne is a junior (Catoor also) so Maddox (sophomore) is looking at another year of very limited minutes. Will he wait until he is a senior before he gets his chance? I don't think so and who can blame him. In hind sight, losing JB and JC to the portal was costly since they have one of the main assets this team is sorely missing which is speed and the ability to break down a defense and/or create your own shot. I hope Maddox starts getting 25 minutes a game and some starts but I don't think it will happen.
