your argument is not unreasonable but, I think there is still an inherent advantage to winning the coin flip. The rules favor offense substantially these days and I think whichever team won the flip likely scores a TD on their possession, particularly with what had transpired in the last two minutes of regulation. I do not like the idea that a coin flip outcome likely tilts the field for any game tied after regulation and I suspect last night's game will generate a lot of discussion about modifying OT rules, even if just for playoffs.
