We require written thank you notes for larger gifts, texts OK for small


We make sure our kids send them, and supply the thank you cards. True story: When I was little I had a great aunt who would send me a silver dollar for every birthday. I always wrote her a thank you until i was about 15 (and she was almost 90). The first year I didn't send her a thank you, the silver dollars stopped coming, period. She never said a word. She just stopped. She passed away at 96.
