I wouldn't call it the attitude of kids these days

It's always been the attitude of some teenagers and adults and young kids.

I feel there is a greater degree of entitlement in today's society for sure, which would lead to more of people not acknowledging the generosity of someone that has given them something but it's not a new phenomenon nor is it all teens or all anyone else.
