Why does the date matter?

It will end up at 12. Money will win out.

I am not in charge of the negotiations, or the timing. If I were, it would be a straight 12 right now, with no autobids.

Either way, ND football will stay independent unless/until 2 super conferences with a breakaway occurs.

ND football is not going to join the ACC, even if the playoffs stay at four.

Even at four, ND made it as an independent in 2018.

You are much more emotionally invested in this playoff issue than I am.

I know that either way, ND and the ACC are status quo.
