The pee break is to go sit in the locker room and skip hard sets. Kids are told to go before they get in the pool. If you've coached swimming long enough, you get a good idea of what's legit and not legit. It's pretty obvious. One of younger coaches that is a total doormat has a continuous line of kids going to the bathroom in practice. These are the kids who are in a hostage situation because their parents want them there and find any excuse to get out. This is not a Summer neighborhood swim team, this is a competitive club.
