Are we struggling in this area? The coaches have pulled a handful of recruits ranked in the top 15-50 range the past few years. Expected range of outcomes in this area is somewhere between middle of the road ACC caliber and AA with one or two flame outs. How are these guys progressing? Here’s my assessment of their ceilings now.

Flynn- very young, but it’s not uncommon for freshman at 125 to excel early. Right now mid tier ACC
Ventresca- Mid tier ACC
Hillegas- Mid tier ACC if healthy
Andonian- Upper tier ACC, low end AA
Brady- Mid-upper tier ACC
Ulrey- Mid-low tier ACC
Kibe- Mid-low tier ACC
Catka- Mid-low tier ACC

I’m a bit disappointed if I’m being honest. I had high expectations for some of these guy (Andonian, Brady and Catka), and I had hoped we would develop one stud from the rest of the lot (Hillegas, Ulrey, Kibe, Ventresca, Flynn).

I like the talent we are bringing in with Caleb and TJ. We clearly need more sure fire studs. And in this light the Gabe news stings more. Recruiting misses are starting to add up.

Im not typically the negative Nancy, but am I missing the mark here?
