The playoff has basically ruined college football. The game is


boring and predictable now. The same group of teams are competitive each year. The focus has narrowed so much in the last decade to the point that only the top 4 matters. Being ranked used to be mean something. Winning your conference meant something. Making a good bowl game meant something. Add in player transfers and the portal and my interest in the game has really started to wane. There was a time that I would watch from Noon to Midnight. Now I watch VT and I may tune into a game after I get the kids to bed so long as it isn’t a blowout which means that I don’t get to watch a lot of games anymore. And VT hasn’t been worth a damn for the better part of the last decade.

When i hear that people need to get over it regarding Alabama and Georgia being the best, I have to laugh. I don’t think anyone questions that. I know i don’t, but for me it is another sign that my interest in the sport is waning. Unless things change I may only tune in when VT is on.
