Heard an interesting parallel between covid and the 1918 flu pandemic

The Spanish Flu of 1918 ravaged the world in four major waves spreading over two years. Covid is following a similar path as a virus, and despite the risk with the latest variant, the world should be on the downside of this pandemic.

I had missed that the 1918 Spanish flu has been identified as H1N1 and was a similar strain to the 2009 swine flu outbreaks.

But thankfully our medical knowledge is much better today. Get vaccinated, wash your hands, wear a mask and stay home if you’re sick. We should be clear of covid by the summer.
