The CFP is supposed to be crowing the annual champion.

What it is not supposed to be is holding a tournament. And there are not more than 4 teams that can win the annual championship. Usually there are only 2. That's why we see so many blowouts with just 4 teams. 4 is enough. Just don't give teams that lost their Conference Championship a mulligan to get back in the 4 to repeat it. Once they lose they are out.
